GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

01.The post carries retirement /terminal benefits as per Govt. of India norms.

02.Besides pay, the post carries allowances according to the Institute rules, which at present are at par with Central Government employees.

03.The SC/ST & OBC candidates are required to attach the Caste certificate and Disability certificate by the Persons with Disability (PWD) as per format prescribed by the Government of India.

04.The Institute may conduct Written Test and Interview for any of the posts and only those candidates who qualify the written examination may be called for interview.

05.The Prescribed Essential Qualification/Experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidates to be called for test/interview. Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient / possible for the Institute to conduct test and interview for all the candidates. Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test/interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualification and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The candidates should, therefore, furnish details of all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed along with documentary evidences.


06.The Institute reserves the right to relax age/qualifications/experience in exceptional cases, or in case of person already holding analogous positions in a university/research institution/industry etc.

07.Higher initial pay may be given to exceptionally qualified and deserving candidates.

08.The number of vacancies indicated in the notification is tentative. The IIT Rajasthan reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts at the time of selection. Further, the IIT Rajasthan also reserves the right NOT to fill any of the post advertised.

09.Persons serving in Government/Semi-Government /Public Sector Undertakings should send their applications either through proper channel or should furnish a no objection certificate (NOC) at the time of interview. They can however, send an advance copy, along with demand draft in original. (in case application)

10.The candidate applying for more than one post, must use separate application form for each post (along with required demand draft in original) and send them in separate covers super-scribed the post applied for.

11.The complete postal address (including telephone/Fax/ Mobile No. & Email address) of the present employer mentioning the name of the organization and whether the organization is a Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous/Public Sector Undertakings/Private Sector should be indicated in the Application form.

12.Application should be accompanied with a non-refundable demand draft of Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of “The Director, Indian Institute of Technology Rajasthan” payable at Jodhpur. SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates are not required to submit demand draft.

13.The candidates called for interview will be reimbursed actual cost of to and fro fare as per entitlement by the shortest route.

14.Canvassing in any form/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post. “INTERIM ENQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED”.

15.The Institute shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, then his/her services shall be terminated.

HOW TO APPLY

(i) Candidate should have a valid e-mail id.

(ii) The candidate should apply on-line through website www.bankofindia.co.in

(iii) As a First Step, candidate should take out Print-out of Challan from Page 15 of the Notice on our website (This will not be applicable for SC / ST/PWD /EX-SERVICE MAN Candidates).

(iv) Against the above-said Challan, the candidate should make the payment of fees in any of the Bank of India branches on or before 16.01.2012.

(v) Once the payment of fees is made, the concerned branch will give him a Transaction No.

(vi) Before applying online a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his photograph and signature as per the specifications given on the website.

(vii) Candidates should first scan their photograph and Signature, ensuring that both the
photograph and signature are within the required specifications. If the size of the file is
more than the specified limit then adjust the settings of the scanner.

(viii) Candidates are now ready to Apply Online by re-visiting the Bank’s website and going to the sublink to open up the appropriate Online Application Format.

(ix) Candidate should visit again our website www.bankofindia.co.in under the caption
“Recruitments / Career” and should fill up the application available by clicking on Page
No.15 of the Notice on our website.

(x) Transaction No. should be correctly filled in the application at appropriate place (This
is not applicable for SC / ST /PWD /EX-SERVICEMEN Candidates).

(xi) Application should be checked and after verification be submitted by clicking to submit button.

(xii) Application should be printed with photo and signature, to be kept ready for submission at the time of interview at the Interview Venue.

(xiii) You should note / remember your Registration No. and Password for future reference and use.

(xiv) Please note that the above procedure is the only procedure for applying. Physical mode of application or incomplete application would not be accepted and if submitted such application would be rejected outright.

(xv) There is a provision to modify the submitted On Line Application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct their details in the On Line Application, if any. This modification facility will be available upto 18.01.2012. After this date, no modification will be permitted. Candidate should take utmost care while filling in the On-Line Application.

(ii) Print the Recruitment Notification and the Recruitment Application Fee Payment Challan(On Page 22) and make payment of the prescribed Application Fee at any Union Bank of India Branch, as spelt out under “PAYMENT OF NONREFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE & POSTAGE CHARGES” in Para 14 above from
(iii) After making Payment of the Application Fees re-visit the Bank’s Website and the Recruitment Notification
(iv) CLICK ON THE APPROPRIATE ALONGSIDE LINK “ON-LINE APPLICATION FOR OFFICERS-2011-PO. to open up the appropriate On-Line Application Form Format.
(v) Fill in On-Line the required details in the Correct Application Form and SUBMIT the On-Line Application electronically NOT LATER THAN.
(vi) There is a provision to modify the submitted online application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct the details in the online application if any. This modification facility will be available after two days of registration and upto 13.01.2012. Modification will be allowed only three times.
